How to make an Espresso Martini

Using Single-Serve Coffee Capsules

Delight in the convenience of this single-serve Espresso Martini recipe! Using coffee capsules such as our Nespresso* Machine compatible capsules offers several benefits:

  • 1. Consistency: Pre-portioned brewed coffee ensures that each cocktail will have consistency of taste, preventing variations that can occur with manual brewing methods.
  • 2. Variety: All our coffee capsule ranges are offered in a variety of intensities and aromas and even available in decaf! Experiment with different blends to find your favorite flavor profile.
  • 3. Convenience: With capsules, there’s no need to grind coffee beans or measure out precise amounts of ground coffee. Simply pop the capsule into your machine, press a button, and you have a perfect shot of espresso ready to go.
  • 4. Freshness: Capsules are sealed to preserve freshness. The coffee inside remains protected from air, light, and moisture until you use it. This freshness translates into a vibrant and aromatic espresso for your cocktail.

Ingredients

  • 50ml Espresso (1 Coffee Capsule Brewed on Lungo, we recommend Ristretto)
  • 30ml Vodka
  • 20ml Frangelico or Coffee Liqueur
  • Ice cubes

Equipment

  • Capsule Coffee Machine compatible with your capsules of choice
  • Martini Glass
  • Cocktail Shaker with built in strainer   

Procedure

STEP 1: Fill a Martini glass and a cocktail shaker with ice cubes to chill.

STEP 2: Drain water from the shaker, add the spirits, optional simple syrup, and a freshly brewed espresso.

STEP 3: Shake vigorously.

STEP 4: Remove ice from the Martini glass and pour the cocktail through the strainer into the glass.

STEP 5 (Optional): Garnish with a few coffee beans.
